What will receive in each box?

Each month you will receive a mystery book written by a Black author and a selection of gifts.


When do I have to place my order by?

Orders will need to be made by the last day of the month. 


When will I receive them?

We’ll always send out our  boxes at the beginning of each month, so you should receive them by the 9th - 11th of each month.  For international delivery, arrival dates may differ.


When will you take payment?

We’ll automatically take payment in the month before we send the books – so if you sign up on the 31st March you’ll receive your first box in April.

If you sign up on the 1st April – we’ll send your first box out in May.

On a monthly plan, payment will be taken on the 11th of each month.


Do you ship internationally?

Unfortunately, we do not. But we are looking to open this up soon. Keep an eye on our socials for the update.


Do you offer returns?

Unfortunately, we do not. We hope you enjoy your box. If you don’t, we hope you can gift it to someone who you think will enjoy it!


What is your refund policy?

We do not offer refunds. If your box is damaged upon delivery, or there is an item damaged or missing inside of the box, email a picture with your order number to hi@blackbookbox.co.uk and we will organise for a replacement for you. 

If you receive something that isn’t to your taste, we hope you can gift it to someone who you think will enjoy it!


What if I would like to cancel my subscription? 

We’re sad to see you end your subscription! But please email hi@blackbookbox.co.uk with your details to cancel your subscription. You can cancel at any time.

If you have pre-paid subscription (3-, 6-, 12- month prepaid):

  • If your order is cancelled after dispatch, we will refund the months remaining on your subscription and cancel your subscription.
  • If cancelled before dispatch, we will cancel the order. However, a cancellation charge of 15% will be applied. refund the remaining amount and cancel your subscription.

We aim to send the boxes between the 1st and the 4th of each month, so to avoid cancellation fees, please aim to cancel by the end of the month.


How can I change my address?

If you have created an account on the BBB site, you simply log in and change your address there! 

If you have not created an account, please email  hi@blackbookbox.co.uk with your full name and the address you would like to change delivery to.


How can I extend my subscription?

At check out, you can select the auto-renew option. Your subscription will renew every month until you decide to cancel your subscription.
